About Roddy

Roddy de la Garza grew up inside real estate. Raised in a family brokerage spanning more than 50 years, he was measuring houses and hanging for-sale signs by the age of eight, learning early how homes, people, and decisions intersect. Since 2014, he has closed over 780 transactions totaling more than $400M in volume.

His career spans real estate, media, publishing, technology, and entertainment, shaping an approach that treats home staging like set design and each sale like a film shoot, planned and executed with intention. Influenced by improv training and a background in film directing, Roddy believes clarity beats theater, and momentum beats perfection.

He is known for naming and solving problems early and speaking up when something does not add up, not to create friction, but to save clients time, money, and unnecessary stress. Buying or selling a home can be intense, so his team brings structure, honesty, and a sense of fun to the process.

Roddy leads a team of over 20 agents who cover all of Southern California. He is also the author of Above Asking, the host of the Somebody Had to Say It podcast, and has consulted on and trained AI models on real estate brokerage operations and compliance.
